Word count : 14700.
Chapter 5 is difficult : a physical description, a conversation, some thoughts all in a viewpoint where I can’t afford to tell everything until at least the end of act 1 (still 10K words away). I felt like I was juggling. Did I mention that I can’t mention the last conversation this character had because that would be like a huge info dump?
Other difficult point : I’m at 1700 words on this chapter with no clue about what I’ll write next. The last chapter was 1.8K – way too short. If I’m stopping at 1.7 here, I won’t have enough chapters to put before the end of act 1.
I think I’ll put another confrontation with the boss. Should bring me closer to 2.5K.
Objectives for tonight : reach 15K (doable) while still writing chapter 5 (more difficult).
