This is sadly the last day for this con. I didn’t want to bother Brandon for the fourth day in a row, so I didn’t get to see him today.

Do adults dream Nice panel on dreaming and creativity

Uchronias I was a little unsettled by that one, as I never considered steampunk as a form of Uchronia. To me, Uchronia is Calculus of Angels by Greg Keyes or Watchmen : change one fact and see what happens. Steampunk might be on any universe, it doesn’t have to take place in London : it’s alternate, but not because of a single event that was changed. Besides that, interesting panel.

Panel on robots a heated discussion on artificial intelligence and robots. Quite instructive.

Meet Scott Westerfeld once again, Scott presents his last book. Despite a new moderator, this was a rehash of the same panel that I saw on thursday. Sadly, there wasn’t anything else to see at that hour.

The future of transportation how our expectations from the fifties never got true. Can we think of new probable transportation modes ?

Overall, this was the slowest day, as was expected. I’m still very satisfied by those 5 days. I would have liked to see more panels about the craft and less about metaphysics, but as we french tend to overthink everything, this was forseeable. I’ll have to try an english/US con and see the difference for myself.
