Well, done is a relative term… Let’s just say that the first draft is done.

This chapter is a little strange. First, it’s the longest by far of all the chapters I’ve written yet (The second being chapter 11, the chapter that ended the first act).

There are 5 segments in this chapter (maybe I should call these scenes and not segments).

The first two go well together : we start the party and see the events from two viewpoints. I already talked about those two.

Then, the protagonist goes to see 3 women in the party with one segment apiece.

The question now is : should that chapter be cut in two? In my mind, this is essentially the same scene, but as the structure is different between the two parts, I’m wonderning. There is surely enough material for two chapters there!

As I often say, we’ll see that in the rewrite…
